A reflection on ‘I am refreshing’.
An extract from my collection of reflections on the I am affirmations.
I am being made new again. This is a meaning that’s come to me from the world of computers.
It seems every other day there’s an update to refresh the operating system or one of the programs on my computer.
If I open the web browser, there’s a button to click for refreshing the webpage I’m viewing in case it’s changed since the last time I looked at it.
Meditation is one way I use for refreshing my operating system.
Reading is a way of updating my programs by refreshing my beliefs.
If I do not engage in refreshing activities I remain the same. I go stale.
Unless I refresh, I continue to operate on outdated beliefs.
I am refreshing.
It’s a commitment.
And, when I keep that commitment, I am refreshing to be with.
